Lavish LA socialite Jasveen Sangha admits to supplying ketamine that killed Friends star; faces decades in prison
A 42-year-old Indian-origin woman, Jasveen Sangha, infamously branded the “Ketamine Queen”, has pleaded guilty in connection with the fatal overdose of Friends actor Matthew Perry. Once known for flaunting Chanel handbags, Louis Vuitton sneakers, and private jet lounges, Sangha ran a “drug-selling emporium” out of her Los Angeles home, supplying ketamine to Hollywood’s elite. Her guilty plea has now put her at the centre of one of the most high-profile celebrity overdose cases in recent years, reported indiatoday.in.
Sangha sold 51 ketamine vials to Matthew Perry days before his death
Perry, who played Chandler Bing in the iconic sitcom Friends, died in October 2023 from an overdose after consuming ketamine supplied by Sangha. Court filings revealed that she sold him 51 vials, including 25 just four days before his death. His assistant injected him with the drug, with three fatal doses taken on the day he died.
Sangha, who operated her narcotics hub from her plush North Hollywood residence, faces up to 45 years in prison. The DEA raid on her “stash house” revealed over 80 vials of ketamine, nearly two kilograms of methamphetamine pills, cocaine, and Xanax.
Once a familiar face at Hollywood parties, red carpet events, and luxury resorts in Tokyo and Mexico, Sangha had long portrayed herself as a glamorous jet-setter. But prosecutors say beneath the polished exterior was a “celebrity drug dealer” who fuelled a dangerous narcotics trade.
Sangha was also previously linked to the 2019 ketamine overdose death of 33-year-old personal trainer Cody McLaury, further cementing her notoriety.
Her guilty plea, extravagant lifestyle, and the DEA’s findings mark her downfall from high-society socialite to convicted felon, awaiting sentencing for her role in Matthew Perry’s tragic end.
