AI startup Anthropic, known for its Claude AI model, has appointed Indian-origin Rahul Patil as its chief technology officer. Patil succeeds co-founder Sam McCandlish, who will now serve as the company’s chief architect. Anthropic recently raised $13 billion, reaching a valuation of $183 billion. Patil graduated from Bengaluru’s PES University in 1998, earned a master’s degree in computer science from Arizona State University, and an MBA from the University of Washington. Originally from Bengaluru, Patil is now based in Seattle and joins the growing cohort of Indian-origin executives leading top global technology companies.
