Indian student killed by stray bullet in Canada

In a tragic incident in Canada, a 21-year-old Indian student was fatally shot by a stray bullet while waiting at a bus stop in Hamilton, Ontario, reported ahmedabadmirror.com.

The victim, Harsimrat Randhawa, was a student at Mohawk College and was on her way to work when the shooting occurred on Wednesday evening.

Randhawa suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was rushed to the hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities are treating the case as a homicide

According to Hamilton Police, Randhawa was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire when a passenger in a black vehicle opened fire on a white sedan. The incident took place near Upper James and South Bend Road around 7:30 pm local time.
