Indian students remain largest group studying abroad  

Rising visa restrictions and higher tuition costs in some countries, however, are prompting students to consider alternative destinations such as Germany and Ireland

— India continues to be the largest source of international students globally, with more than 1.3 million Indians studying overseas.

Canada hosts the largest number of Indian students, followed by the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Education experts say international degrees offer opportunities for global work experience and migration pathways.
