An Indian traveller recently expressed his disappointment with Paris, citing safety concerns, pickpocket incidents, and the overall cleanliness of the city during his visit, reported gujaratsamachar.com.

“Pretty Sad” – A Troubling Experience in the City of Lights

Entrepreneur Pranav Vashishtha took to social media to share his unpleasant experiences during a family trip to Paris. In a video, he called it the “worst day” of his vacation, detailing a frightening encounter with pickpockets near the Eiffel Tower.

“We thought going early in the morning would help us avoid the crowds, but that’s when an incident occurred,” Vashishtha explained. He witnessed an old French man trying to warn tourists about a group of young pickpockets. “The girls ran towards him, spat on his face, and fled. They had a knife and a sharp pen, likely to cut bags and steal things. It was pretty scary,” he recalled.

Trip Improves in the Countryside but Paris Disappoints

After the unsettling encounter, Vashishtha and his family decided to leave the city for the countryside. “We had lunch and moved out

The countryside was much nicer, with great views and a good hotel near the airport,” he shared.

However, his overall experience in Paris remained disappointing. “There was garbage everywhere, pickpocketing incidents, and we even got scammed by a taxi driver who charged us twice. The driver showed a failed transaction, but we were charged twice. So yes, Paris has been pretty sad,” he concluded.
