Expo Dubai 2020 will be the most visited World Expo by Indians in history, says India’s Minister of State for External Affairs

Indian visitors at the Expo Dubai 2020 are likely to outnumber all other nationalities, as the Expo will the most visited world expo by Indians in history.

This was stated by V. Muraleedharan, India’s Minister of State for External Affairs on Wednesday (October 27, 2021). The Indian Minister visited the Expo and spent time at the India Pavilion on Wednesday with an Indian delegation.

Talking to the media after the Expo tour, the Minister put stress on bilateral ties between India and UAE and called it a deep bilateral relationship that is going stronger. He made special mention of cooperation between India UAE in space technology.

“Expo Dubai 2020 is also an avenue for India to project the international acceptance of yoga to the world.”

“Space technology is a new sector in which both the countries are working on. The UAE has achieved welcoming milestones in the sector. India has already made big progress in the sector. We hope both the countries will benefit from our collaborations in the space sector,” he said.

Gulf News quoted the minister’s statement after his visiot to the India pavilion. “It portrays a ‘New India’ with a lot of opportunities for the youth and shows how India is becoming a global economic power. The pavilion will make every Indian be proud of his [or her] country’s development,” he said.

“This expo is also an avenue for India to project the international acceptance of yoga to the world,” he observed.

“Yoga has been accepted by the United Nations and the International Day of Yoga has been celebrated across the world over during the last seven years. It is a way of life which everyone feels is ideal for human being.”
