27-year-old Kerala native plans dream destination wedding after Dubai Summer Surprises raffle win
A young Indian woman from Kerala has struck gold in Dubai—literally and figuratively—by winning a life-changing prize of AED 1 million (₹2.39 crore) in the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 raffle, reported hindustantimes.com.
According to us, 27-year-old Sweety Stanly, who works as a customer relationship executive, said she was wearing a gold bangle gifted by her fiancé, Abhin KM, when she was honoured by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) officials at Mercato Mall on Sunday.

Initially, Sweety thought the call informing her about the win was a scam, especially since she had just received a fraudulent bank call earlier. However, when officials provided her raffle ticket number, purchase details, and store confirmation, the reality set in. “At that time, I could not do anything. I just sat there saying, ‘Oh my God’ again and again,” she said.
Her boss and colleagues joined in congratulating her, while her fiancé—her childhood neighbour in Kerala and partner of seven years—was initially convinced she was joking. Soon, the couple were celebrating the life-changing news together.
The gold bangle, purchased on August 8, 2025, was a simple, heartfelt gift, not tied to any special occasion. Now, the couple is planning their dream destination wedding next year. Sweety shared that their marriage will be inter-religious, blending Hindu and Christian traditions.
