The airline is set to make history as the first carrier to operate from the soon-to-be-inaugurated Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Ayodhya.
The inaugural flight from Delhi is scheduled to touch down in Ayodhya on December 30, 2023. Following this landmark event, commercial operations for direct flights between Delhi and Ayodhya will commence from January 06, 2024, with tri-weekly flights connecting Ahmedabad and Ayodhya starting from January 11, 2024.
Anticipating a surge in travel activity, especially with the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya slated for January 2024, IndiGo’s strategic flight additions aim to provide pilgrims and tourists seamless access to this culturally rich city.
