Indore is set to take center stage on the global Indian map as it hosts the fourth edition of the NRI Convention at the historic Daly College. Organised by the Indore NRI Forum, the convention continues a successful tradition that has grown steadily over the past three years. This year’s gathering brings together more than 220 non-resident Indians representing 27 countries, marking yet another milestone in strengthening ties between Indore and the global Indian diaspora.

  • The convention aims to reconnect overseas Indians with their roots while highlighting Indore’s progress as a rapidly developing city
  • Participants, many of whom have been attending the event consistently, are expected to engage in meaningful interactions focused on culture, development, and economic collaboration

The presence of delegates from diverse regions underscores Indore’s growing international appeal and its potential as a hub for global partnerships.

The day-long programme has been thoughtfully curated to blend tradition with forward-looking discussions. The morning session will feature a special cultural event at Yeshwant Club, where traditional Indian games will be showcased. Activities such as gulli-danda, kabaddi, kite flying, spinning tops, and langdi are designed to evoke nostalgia and introduce younger generations of overseas Indians to India’s indigenous recreational heritage. These games reflect the simplicity and vibrancy of traditional Indian life and serve as a reminder of the country’s cultural depth.

In the evening, attention will shift to Daly College, where a business summit will bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, and investors from across the globe. The summit will focus on Indore’s development journey, future growth plans, and emerging investment opportunities. Delegates will exchange ideas on innovation, infrastructure, education, and industry, positioning Indore as a promising destination for global investment and collaboration.

The convention will conclude on a cultural note with traditional performances and a Malvi dinner. Guests will be treated to authentic regional cuisine, offering a sensory experience of Malwa’s rich culinary heritage. The dinner serves as a symbolic gesture of hospitality, reinforcing emotional connections with the city.
