11-month-old infant dies after medical emergency during flight from Qatar to Kerala

A tragic incident occurred when an 11-month-old infant, Fesin Ahammed, passed away after developing health complications mid-flight during a journey from Qatar to Kerala. The infant was traveling with his mother back to their home state of Kerala, reported abplive.com.

The baby, who had pre-existing health conditions, was being taken to Kerala for further treatment

Upon landing at Nedumbassery airport, the flight crew immediately rushed the infant to a hospital in Angamaly. Despite efforts to save the child, Fesin passed away at the hospital. The infant, born prematurely, had pre-existing health conditions, and the family had intended to seek further medical treatment in Kerala.

This incident follows a similar tragedy in which a four-month-old boy named Sparsh passed away during a flight from Bengaluru to Patna after developing health issues onboard. The flight was diverted, but the child could not be saved.

Both cases underscore the challenges of handling critical health emergencies during air travel, despite swift action from authorities.
