New Bahrain-based platform aims to connect, celebrate, and empower over 9 million Indians across GCC countries
Bahrain: A new digital initiative for the Indian diaspora in the Gulf officially went live on Friday, September 5, with the launch of www.iSocialGulf.com. Licensed by Bahrain’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the portal caters to Indians across all six GCC nations: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, reported daijiworld.com.
Unlike traditional media websites, iSocialGulf.com emphasizes community and culture rather than just news. It highlights Indian associations, schools, cultural and professional organizations, celebrating the vibrancy and collective success of the diaspora.
iSocialGulf.com is designed as a community hub, showcasing achievements, events, and contributions of Indians across the Gulf region
Sonia Prabhu, director of iSocialGulf.com, said, “Our mission is simple yet powerful – to connect, inform, and empower the Indian community in the Gulf. This is about people. We aim to foster belonging and pride while building a genuine digital hub where every Indian in the Gulf feels at home.”
The portal will initially feature community activities and key events, with plans to expand into an interactive space featuring stories, initiatives, and engagement opportunities. The long-term vision is to create a reliable online destination where Indians in the Gulf can connect, share, and celebrate together. The team behind iSocialGulf.com also expressed gratitude to the Gulf nations for providing a supportive environment that allows Indians to thrive while preserving their cultural identity.
Indians across the GCC have been invited to join the platform, share their stories, and actively participate in building the community.
