Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir International (ISWK) has etched its name in the World Book of Records by organizing an extraordinary event showcasing unity, skill, and athleticism.
On January 18, 2025, the school hosted an unprecedented gathering where 250 participants performed 15 diverse basketball drills within 60 minutes. This historic achievement took place at the ISWK Cambridge campus in Muscat, setting a new standard in sports excellence.
The official World Book of Records certificate was awarded to ISWK’s Principal, D.N. Rao, by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Tithi Bhalla, Dr. Shama Hussain, Palash Shukla, and Dr. Maheboob Kureshi.
The recognition was formally announced by Santosh Shukla, CEO of the World Book of Records, highlighting the school’s commendable effort in promoting sports and teamwork.
Khalfan Saleh Al Naabi, President of the Oman Basketball Association, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He lauded the school for its commitment to fostering sportsmanship and congratulated the students for their discipline and dedication.
The ceremony also saw participation from key members of the ISWK community, including Sachin Toprani, President of the School Managing Committee, and Rajendra Ved, Director of ISWK Cambridge and ISWK.
Other prominent attendees were School Managing Committee members—Rajesh Soneji, Jeet Shah, Umesh Shah, and Dr. Hiral Jerajani Kamat—as well as Sowmya M.S., Vice Principal of ISWK Cambridge, and Ernest Schawn, Vice Principal of ISWK.
This milestone underscores ISWK’s unwavering commitment to excellence in academics, sports, and holistic development, making it a proud moment for the entire school community.
