Jaishankar Arrives for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025

Union Minister S Jaishankar lands in Bhubaneswar to attend the global NRI event

Union Minister for External Affairs S Jaishankar reached Bhubaneswar on Monday to participate in the 18th edition of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025. Scheduled to stay until January 10, Jaishankar expressed confidence in the event’s success and its potential to set new benchmarks for future editions, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

 

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025 Kicks Off in Bhubaneswar. After arriving at the city airport, Jaishankar told reporters, “I believe the event will be a grand success and raise the bar for the upcoming editions.”

 

From the airport, the minister proceeded to Konark, where he will stay overnight. On Tuesday, he plans to visit the iconic Konark Temple and Jagannath Temple in Puri, followed by visits to Lingaraj Temple and other key landmarks in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, a three-day global event, is being hosted in Bhubaneswar from January 8 to 10. According to sources, over 10,000 delegates from India and abroad are expected to attend the prestigious event, making it a grand occasion to celebrate the contributions of the Indian diaspora.
