The Ministry of External Affairs has officially announced the Kailash Manasarovar Yatra for 2025, which will run from June to August. This year, the Yatra will be conducted in two phases: one group of 5 batches, each consisting of 50 Yatris, will travel via Uttarakhand through Lipulekh Pass, while another set of 10 batches, each with 50 Yatris, will cross through Sikkim via Nathu La Pass.
The online application process is now open for pilgrims wishing to participate in this sacred journey, with a fair and computerized selection process ensuring a transparent and balanced system.
Applications for the Yatra can now be submitted through the official website, kmy.gov.in. Yatris will be chosen via a random, computer-generated selection process that ensures gender balance. Since 2015, the entire selection procedure, from online application to final Yatri selection, has been fully computerized, eliminating the need for physical letters or faxes to gather information. Applicants can use the website’s feedback options for inquiries, suggestions, or to report observations.
