In a startling turn of events, Abu Dhabi police have apprehended Muhammad Niyas, a 38-year-old native of Kannur district in Kerala, on charges of embezzling 600,000 dirhams (approximately ₹1.5 crore) from the renowned LuLu Group in the UAE.
Niyas, employed as a cash office-in-charge at LuLu Hypermarket in Khalidiyah Mall, went missing on March 25, prompting an investigation by the authorities.
