The body of a 31-year-old Indian woman from Kerala, who passed away in Sharjah, was finally repatriated nearly a month after her death due to financial constraints and lack of institutional support.
She had travelled to the UAE on a visit visa and died following complications caused by internal bleeding. With no employer to take responsibility, her family struggled to arrange funds for transportation. Assistance eventually came through local intervention and a Sharjah-based firm that helped complete legal procedures and fund the repatriation.
The woman leaves behind three young children, highlighting the emotional and financial challenges faced by migrant families.
