Exploring India’s ‘Look West Policy’ through strategic partnerships and dialogue
The inaugural “Kochi Dialogue 2025” is being hosted on January 16-17, 2025, in Kochi, Kerala, by the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
A first-of-its-kind dialogue in Kerala focusing on India-Gulf ties.
This Track 1.5 Dialogue, the first of its kind in Kerala, centers on “India’s Look West Policy in Action: People, Prosperity and Progress.”
It brings together policymakers, industry leaders, and experts from India and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries to deliberate on crucial aspects of bilateral relations.
Five themes shaping the India-Gulf partnership
The dialogue focuses on five pivotal themes:
- Trade, Economy, and Investments
- Maritime Strategic Partnerships
- Education, Healthcare, and Technology
- Diaspora Connect
- Energy Cooperation and Innovation
The discussions aim to strengthen ties and foster collaboration across these areas, reinforcing India’s commitment to its Look West Policy.
