The order calls for arrest of all expatriates who took part in the Fahaheel protest on Friday
In a stern message to expatriates living in Kuwait, the government took strong note of protests being carried by some group of people against remarks on Prophet Mohammed by Indian ruling party BJP spokespersons.
The government of Kuwait has issued directives to arrest all expatriates who took part in the Fahaheel protest on Friday. The government is also mulling the possibility of deportation of those took part in the protest.
Once deported, the expatriates cannot come back to Kuwait for work or otherwise
The government authorities took cognizance of the matter as a violation of the country’s law. As per country’s rules and regulations any kind of protest by the expats or their participation in such activities is illegal.
“All expats in Kuwait must respect Kuwait laws and not take part in any type of demonstrations,” a release issued by the government said.
Once deported, the expatriates cannot come back to Kuwait for work or otherwise.
