Look inwards instead of shifting blame: MEA tells Pakistan

India firmly denies Pakistan’s allegations linking it to the train hijacking in Balochistan and urges Pakistan to address its internal issues

Pakistan had claimed that calls traced to Afghanistan were linked to the hijacking, and suggested India’s role in the attack, which took place on March 11. Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s foreign office spokesperson, defended his country’s stance, claiming no change in policy towards India and continuing to accuse India of supporting terrorism in Pakistan, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

Pakistan’s Allegations and India’s Rejection

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has rejected Pakistan’s baseless accusations regarding India’s involvement in the recent train hijacking incident in Balochistan, calling on Pakistan to focus on its internal issues rather than shifting blame

In response, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal rejected the claims, stating, “The whole world knows where the epicenter of global terrorism lies. Pakistan should look inwards instead of pointing fingers and shifting the blame for its own internal problems.” This comes amid Pakistan’s media, government, and military forces suggesting India’s involvement in the train assault, while ignoring serious security lapses in their own systems.

The Jaffar Express hijacking resulted in 58 deaths, including passengers, soldiers, and Balochistan Liberation Army militants. The BLA, a separatist group, claimed responsibility for the attack. Pakistan frequently accuses India of supporting groups like the BLA, but India has repeatedly denied such allegations.
