Madhya Pradesh CM invites NRIs to invest in key sectors like IT, automobile, and biotechnology
Highlighting Madhya Pradesh as one of the fastest-growing states in India, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav called on Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) to invest across diverse sectors, including information technology, automobile, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology.
He made this appeal during the ‘Pravasi Summit’ at the Global Investors Summit (GIS) on Tuesday, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
Madhya Pradesh aims to host sector-specific summits to attract global investments
The CM emphasized the state’s commitment to facilitating investments through sector-specific summits tailored to different industries. He assured NRIs of continuous support, stating, “The doors of MP are always open for you, and we will extend all possible assistance.”
Dr Sanjay Nagarkar, an NRI based in Hong Kong and a member of India Connect, highlighted the state’s improvements in ease of doing business, making it an attractive destination for investors.
He stressed that biotechnology offers immense potential for industry-academia collaboration and futuristic research. Nagarkar also announced that a delegation from India Connect would invest Rs 65,500 crore in solar and wind energy projects in Madhya Pradesh.
NRIs can drive technology transfer and skill development for local businesses
Jitendra Vaidya, an NRI from the UAE, underlined the critical role of NRIs in bringing global best practices, enhancing skill development, driving technology transfer, and creating market linkages to boost local businesses in Madhya Pradesh.
