The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the final seat matrix and the updated list of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates for the first round of NEET UG 2024 counselling. This comprehensive list details the available seats for various undergraduate medical programs, including MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, and other related courses across India. Notably, 1,037 candidates have had their categories changed from Indian to NRI, reflecting a significant shift in the applicant pool.
· The MCC’s NEET UG 2024 counselling process covers the allocation of approximately 1.10 lakh MBBS seats across 710 medical colleges nationwide
· Additionally, counselling will be conducted for 21,000 BDS seats and other seats under Ayush and nursing programmes
The registration process for Round 1 began on August 14, 2024, and will close on August 21, 2024. Candidates will be able to fill in and lock their choices between August 16 and August 20, 2024. The seat allotment process will occur from August 21 to August 22, with results set to be announced on August 23. Successful candidates must report and join their allotted institutions between August 24 and August 29, 2024. Verification of candidates who join after the first round of allotment will take place on August 30-31, 2024.
Round 2 of the registration process is scheduled for September 4-5, 2024. Seat allotment and verification for this round will be conducted on September 11-12, 2024, with candidates required to report or join their allotted institutions by September 14-20, 2024.
