Pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, joins ‘Mann Ki Baat’ session at Indian Consulate
Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita visited Dubai on Monday and interacted with members of the vibrant Indian diaspora, praising their contributions and connection to the motherland, reported tribuneindia.co.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Margherita expressed joy over his meeting with Indians in the UAE: “Happy to meet the vibrant Indian diaspora in their home away from home. Had wonderful interactions with our brothers and sisters working in Dubai.”
The Minister began his day at the Consulate General of India in Dubai by paying floral tribute to the bust of Mahatma Gandhi. Recalling Gandhi’s enduring values, he said, “Starting the day with Bapu’s blessings. Honoured to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s bust… His principles of non-violence, peace, and truth continue to inspire the world.”
Participates in Mann Ki Baat with consulate officials
Margherita also joined consulate officials for a live screening of the 124th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme.
He later posted on X, “Joined the Consulate General of India in Dubai family to listen to the 124th episode of PM Shri Narendra Modi ji’s Mann ki Baat. Always inspiring to hear his thoughts on India’s journey, achievements, and the role of every citizen in nation-building.”
The Indian Consulate General in Dubai confirmed his participation, sharing that the Minister joined consulate staff for the broadcast session.

While Margherita participated from Dubai, senior BJP leaders and Chief Ministers across Indian states, including Delhi and Chhattisgarh, also listened to the programme. The 124th episode was lauded for spotlighting grassroots achievements and encouraging citizen participation in nation-building.
