Muscat Grand Mall, the flagship destination of Tilal Development Company, in partnership with SRED, has announced the launch of “Little India”—a vibrant retail and cultural hub celebrating the richness of Indian heritage. This announcement, backed by Amitabh Taneja, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Images Group, positions “Little India” as the social anchor within Muscat Grand Mall, offering Indian brands a springboard into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, reported timesofoman.com.

Little India to serve as gateway for Indian brands into GCC markets

The unveiling comes ahead of Phygital Retail Convention 2025, India’s leading retail industry forum, set to be held at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai on May 7–8, 2025. The initiative offers Indian brands a curated platform to reach the growing consumer base in Oman and the wider Gulf.

Creating a cultural and commercial bridge between India and Oman

Ali Hosni, Acting CEO and General Manager of Muscat Grand Mall, will deliver a keynote at PRC 2025, stating:

“Muscat Grand Mall has always been a canvas for innovation and cultural expression. With ‘Little India’, we are not just creating a retail space—we are creating a bridge between India and the GCC. This is an invitation for Indian brands to be part of a regional success story.”

Echoing this vision,  Shriram PM Monga, Co-founder of SRED, remarked:
“‘Little India’ is more than a commercial concept—it’s a social ecosystem designed to serve the large Indian community in Oman and the wider Gulf. It’s a unique opportunity for Indian brands to plug into a culturally aligned audience, celebrate India abroad, and grow in a region that values authenticity and diversity.”

Retail meets culture in the heart of Oman’s premium shopping destination

“Little India” will become a permanent cultural landmark within Muscat Grand Mall, featuring fashion brands, Indian cuisine, home décor, and artisanal products. With Oman’s increasing appetite for experiential retail, the initiative promises a high-engagement opportunity for Indian entrepreneurs.

SRED will spearhead the strategic onboarding of Indian brands through bespoke leasing programs, cultural activations, and integrated marketing campaigns aimed at long-term success in the region.

Indian brands at PRC 2025 can connect with Muscat Grand Mall and SRED to explore expansion and partnership opportunities in the GCC.
