India’s leading gaming and esports firm, Nazara Technologies Limited, has acquired 100% ownership of UK-based Curve Digital Entertainment Ltd (Curve Games) for ₹247 crore (GBP 21.7 million). The strategic move marks a major expansion into the global PC and console gaming segment, aligning with Nazara’s long-term strategy of portfolio diversification through targeted acquisitions, reported indianstartupnews.com.

The acquisition of Curve Games boosts Nazara’s global publishing capabilities, opening access to major markets across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Curve Games has built a formidable presence as a publisher of PC and console games with over 100 million cumulative downloads worldwide. In 2024 alone, Curve reported revenue of ₹263.5 crore (~GBP 24.4 million), an EBITDA of ₹114.4 crore (~GBP 10.6 million), and a profit before tax of ₹49.6 crore (~GBP 4.6 million).

Nazara said Curve’s extensive portfolio and publishing strengths in premium game titles will help accelerate its global ambitions and create long-term IP value. The acquisition also provides Indian developers a gateway to global markets through Curve’s international distribution channels.

“This acquisition deepens our capabilities, brings exceptional IP into our fold, and strengthens our mission to build Nazara as a global gaming powerhouse from India. Curve will also serve as a gateway to the world for Indian game developers,” said Nitish Mittersain, CEO and Joint MD of Nazara Technologies.

Stuart Dinsey, Executive Chairman of Curve Games, remarked, “Joining the Nazara family is an exciting new chapter for Curve. With their ecosystem, market access, and vision, we are confident about building a leading global indie publishing platform.”

Nazara Technologies, India’s only publicly listed gaming company, continues its expansion streak with key acquisitions and record revenue in FY25 Q3.

Nazara’s portfolio spans interactive gaming, esports, and sports media, with flagship brands like Kiddopia, Animal Jam, Sportskeeda, World Cricket Championship, and Fusebox Games. The company operates in India, North America, and other global markets. Earlier this month, its subsidiary Absolute Sports acquired ITRWrestling.com and TJRWrestling.net for ₹10.5 crore.

In Q3 FY25, Nazara recorded its highest-ever quarterly EBITDA of ₹52.4 crore and revenue of ₹535 crore—a 67% year-on-year growth—despite a dip in net profit to ₹13.7 crore from ₹29.5 crore in the same quarter last year.
