In a major development in the murder of NRI Mastan Singh, the Kurukshetra police in Haryana have arrested four individuals, including his wife, Anjali, for their involvement in the crime, tribuneindia.com reported.

The CIA-2 unit, leading the investigation, revealed that Anjali, along with her accomplices Vishal, Abhishek, and Ravi, plotted and executed the murder.

Mastan Singh, who had returned to Pehowa from Germany on September 27, was found dead shortly after. Initially, his wife claimed that a group of men had broken into their home, tied her up, and murdered her husband. However, further investigation uncovered a different narrative.

  • Anjali and Vishal conspired to eliminate Mastan, enlisting the help of Ravi and Abhishek, both daily wage workers
  • On September 30, the group entered the house with Anjali’s assistance and killed Mastan, staging the scene to appear as a robbery
  • The suspects took jewelry, cash, and a DVR to support their cover story

According to CIA-2 unit in-charge Mohan Lal, the investigation revealed that Anjali, who was significantly younger than her 40-year-old husband, had been unwilling to marry him but was pressured by her family.

Once married, Anjali remained in contact with her friend Vishal, to whom she regularly sent money provided by Mastan. The funds were reportedly used by Vishal to purchase a vehicle.
