UK-based solicitor thanks MGMGH medical team in heartfelt letter to Tamil Nadu CM and Deputy CM
Ramachandran Saravanan, a non-resident Indian solicitor based in London, has lauded the medical team at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital (MGMGH) in Tiruchi for the compassionate and professional care provided to his elderly parents, both senior citizens living alone in the city, reported thehindu.com.
Medical staff responded swiftly to urgent health concerns of 85-year-old mother
In a letter addressed to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Saravanan detailed how the hospital responded to his request for help after noticing his mother appeared unwell during a video call in April. The MGMGH team—led by Dean Dr. S. Kumaravel, Medical Superintendent Udhaya Aruna, and Deputy Superintendent Arun Raj—conducted a thorough medical check-up of both parents.
His mother received timely dental care for an infected tooth and later, after a second alert on April 7, was admitted with facial palsy to the intermediate care unit (IMCU) for treatment.
Grateful son praises hospital’s professionalism, expertise, and compassion
Saravanan, whose father is a retired Deputy Commissioner of Labour, emphasized the outstanding recovery his mother made under the hospital’s care, despite initially being unable to speak, swallow, or drink. He expressed deep gratitude, stating, “I cannot emphasise enough how deeply grateful I am for the dedicated care my parents received.”
