NRI woman faces marriage dilemma

As she works on her career and builds her self-confidence, she faces a tough decision: should she leap into the marriage search now or wait for a better moment in the future?

A 27-year-old NRI woman recently took to social media, seeking advice on a personal dilemma: should she start looking for a life partner now or wait until her circumstances improve?

Currently, she is unemployed and working through unpaid internships in data analytics. She is also on the verge of gaining U.S. citizenship but has had gaps in her employment due to health challenges and the pandemic.

She wonders if waiting might improve her prospects. With cousins older than her still unmarried and limited family support for arranged marriages, she is left weighing her options

In her post, she shared that while her father offers support and financial stability, her mother’s strong opinions—such as disliking bald men—add to her uncertainty.

Struggling with eczema, she mentioned that although she feels confident about her facial features and lean physique, she plans to focus on improving her skin and appearance over the next two years.

The young woman is unsure whether to begin searching for a partner now or wait until she feels more secure in her job and appearance.
