NRIs to be facilitated with fast track courts in Punjab

Punjab Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the Punjab government would soon set up fast track courts in the state to facilitate Punjabi NRIs to resolve their issues in the shortest possible time. Presiding over the 3rd Punjabi Pravasi Bhartiya Meetni Samaroh organized at the local Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, Ludhiana, Dhaliwal said that the state government is committed to redress their grievances immediately by initiating such a conference.

He said that these courts would work dedicatedly for speedy disposal of issues relating to civil cases of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

Talks have been held with the Chief Minister in this regard, so action will be started soon in this direction. He informed that nodal officers are being posted in the districts who will deal with the issues of NRIs without any delay.

The minister also appreciated the contribution of NRI Punjabis in the development of villages and cities.
