The event, aimed at raising awareness about the critical issue of cancer, witnessed an impressive turnout, with Omani nationals, expatriates living in the country, and even foreign embassies based in Oman actively participating. The walkathon not only served as a means to promote awareness but also highlighted the collective efforts required to combat the menace of cancer.

The event was spearheaded by the Oman Cancer Association, a non-profit organization that has been tirelessly working for the past 17 years to address the challenges posed by cancer in Oman. Their commitment to the cause was evident in the meticulous planning and execution of the walkathon, which brought together diverse communities for a common purpose.

The choice of Qurum Park as the venue added a symbolic touch to the event.
