State gears up for a landmark event, with Law Minister calling for collective support for success
Odisha is set to host its first-ever Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, an event designed to highlight the state’s rich cultural heritage and growing potential, reported odishatv.in.
The event promises to spotlight Odisha’s unique offerings while encouraging the contribution of the Indian diaspora to the state’s development
The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will serve as a platform to present the state’s capabilities to the global audience while welcoming contributions from overseas Indians.
Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan called for unity and cooperative efforts for the event’s success, urging all stakeholders to join hands instead of criticizing. He emphasized the importance of showcasing Odisha’s culture, heritage, and development prospects during the convention.
Celebrated for its history and hospitality, Odisha aims to stand out as the perfect host for this esteemed event, which is a joint effort of both the Odisha government and the Union government
As Odisha prepares for the significant event, the state also faces unusually cold weather, with temperatures dipping below 10°C in multiple cities. The cold wave, which began on New Year’s Day, is expected to persist for several more days. Rourkela recorded the coldest temperature at below 7°C, while Bhubaneswar and Cuttack saw significant drops as well, according to the India Meteorological Department.
