Omani citizens overseas have been advised to remain in contact with Omani diplomatic missions and to follow official guidance. The government has assured nationals that it will continue to act promptly to support them in times of need.

As tensions continue to rise across parts of the region, Oman’s Foreign Ministry has taken steps to ensure the safe return of its citizens from neighbouring countries. Working closely with authorities inside the Sultanate and with counterparts across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, the ministry has overseen the repatriation of several Omanis through land border crossings.

The move comes as part of Oman’s ongoing monitoring of regional developments. Officials said the arrangements were carefully organised to guarantee the safety of those returning and to allow smooth transit across borders without unnecessary delays. The coordinated effort aimed to avoid disruption and provide reassurance to citizens concerned about the unfolding situation.

  • The ministry confirmed that the operation was carried out in partnership with relevant authorities to ensure all procedures were handled efficiently

  • By using land routes, officials were able to provide an alternative means of travel at a time when air routes in parts of the region have faced uncertainty

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry stressed its firm commitment to protecting Omani nationals abroad. It said it remains in constant contact with concerned agencies and continues to assess developments as they arise. The ministry also underlined that it stands ready to take further action if required to safeguard citizens’ security and well-being.
