Over 3 lakh devotees visit Ram Temple in Ayodhya

The temple authorities have fixed two time slots daily — 7 am to 11.30 am and 2 pm to 7 pm for visitors

New Delhi: After the doors of the consecrated Ram Temple were opened to the public on Tuesday, over three lakh devotees visited the temple. Over 8,000 police personnel have been deployed to control the crowd, a special report by.Aksheev Thakur, in The Tribune, Chandigarh, says

Visitors will be allowed inside the temple twice o time daily — 7 am to 11.30 am and 2 pm to 7 pm, according to the temple authorities.

Shishir Singh, Director, Information and Public Relations, Uttar Pradesh, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya to see the arrangements.

“Nearly, three lakh devotees have visited the temple and the same number of people has been waiting. Security is under control. As many as 8,000 police personnel have been deployed for better management,” he said.

UP Special DG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar was present inside the temple to monitor the situation.

As the security personnel struggled to control the situation due to the huge crowds,, the darshan was stopped for a while in the afternoon, according to officials.

Piyush Mordia, ADG, Lucknow Zone, said security personnel would ensure no devotee faced any inconvenience.
