In the first 100 days of his third consecutive term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has undertaken an ambitious and dynamic diplomatic outreach, marking a milestone for India on the global stage, news agency ANI reported.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), PM Modi visited seven nations, including Russia and Ukraine, establishing new relationships and reinforcing old ones.
His first official visit after being sworn in took him to Italy, where he attended the G7 Leaders’ Outreach meeting in June at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. This was followed by a significant visit to Russia in July, where he participated in the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit hosted by President Vladimir Putin. In August, PM Modi made history by becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Ukraine, a war-torn nation, following a 10-hour journey from Poland on the “Rail Force One.”
PM Modi also visited Singapore, Brunei, Poland, and Ukraine, showcasing India’s commitment to strengthening its ties with nations worldwide. Notably, his visit to Poland marked the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 45 years, signaling renewed bilateral relations.
