This prestigious accolade, the highest honor conferred upon overseas Indians, celebrates her exceptional contributions to medicine and her unwavering service to the Indian community in Barbados and beyond.
The PBSA was presented to Dr. Harris during the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from January 8 to 10, 2025. The award ceremony, graced by President of India, Droupadi Murmu, highlighted the enduring bond between India and its global diaspora. Dr. Harris was selected by a distinguished jury recognizing her outstanding achievements, which symbolize the excellence of India’s diaspora across various fields.
