Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Jaipur, bringing together Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) from across India and various parts of the world. The event served as a significant platform to reconnect the global Rajasthani community with their cultural heritage while encouraging their active participation in the state’s ongoing development journey.

Addressing the inaugural session, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma highlighted Rajasthan’s growing stature as a hub of opportunity. He described the state as a land rich in possibilities for trade, industry, and entrepreneurship. Emphasizing the achievements of Pravasi Rajasthanis worldwide, the Chief Minister noted that despite their global success, they have always maintained strong emotional and cultural ties with their homeland.

  • A major highlight of the event was the formal launch of investment projects worth ₹1 lakh crore, reflecting growing confidence in Rajasthan’s economic prospects

  • These projects are expected to generate employment, boost industrial growth, and contribute significantly to the state’s long-term development

He further underlined Rajasthan’s natural and economic strengths, pointing to its abundant mineral resources, vibrant cultural legacy, and steadily improving infrastructure. According to him, these factors collectively make the state uniquely positioned for sustainable growth. Reassuring investors of a supportive environment, the Chief Minister invited Pravasi Rajasthanis to invest in Rajasthan, promising full cooperation and facilitation from the state government.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal also addressed the gathering and spoke about what he described as Rajasthan’s distinctive “D Factor.” He explained that the state stands out due to its Demographic Dividend, Diversity, Dependability, and Devotion. These qualities, he said, give Rajasthan a competitive edge and make it an attractive destination for domestic and global investment.

The programme also featured addresses by Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde and Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, who both acknowledged the crucial role played by the Rajasthani diaspora in enhancing the state’s reputation nationally and internationally. Several prominent industrialists from across the country shared their perspectives on Rajasthan’s investment climate, innovation potential, and policy support.
