Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, MLA for Sanaur, has publicly distanced himself from the controversy, maintaining his non-involvement
Police in Ludhiana have registered a case against Gurpreet Kaur, wife of Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, on allegations of illegally occupying an elderly NRI’s bungalow through forged documents, etvbharat.com reported.
The complainant, Nachhatar Singh, claims that Kaur and her associates unlawfully took possession of his high-value property, located at Ghuman Chowk in Samthar. Kaur and six accomplices are currently evading authorities as police conduct extensive searches to apprehend the accused.

In a related incident, Kaur previously filed a molestation case against Singh on August 20
-
Although Singh obtained bail, his son, Sandeep Singh Jagpal, later contacted Ludhiana Rural Police Chief SSP Navneet Singh Bains from Mississauga, Canada, to request an investigation into the alleged illegal occupation of his father’s residence
The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at Samthar Police Station in response to Singh’s complaint. Station House Officer (SHO) Jaswinder Singh stated that all accused remain absconding. Singh alleged that due to a family connection, he had entrusted Kaur with the property’s management during his absence. However, he claims Kaur breached this trust, using fraudulent methods to assert ownership.
