Next hearing date yet to be announced; support group assures updates will follow.
According to court officials, the latest scheduled hearing has been adjourned, with the new date yet to be disclosed.
The continued deferment adds to the prolonged uncertainty faced by Rahim, a resident of Machilakat, Kodampuzha in Farook, Kozhikode, who is imprisoned in connection with a murder case in Saudi Arabia.
Death sentence earlier revoked after victim’s family accepted blood money.
Rahim was previously sentenced to death, but the sentence was revoked after the victim’s family granted pardonfollowing the acceptance of diyah (blood money). Despite this major legal relief, his release remains stalled due to repeated postponements.
The Riyadh Raheem Support Committee, which has been actively assisting in the case, confirmed the delay and assured that further updates will be shared once the next court date is finalized.
