London: What happens when two cricketing greats of two countries run into into each other in another foreign country? Here’s what happened in London when Indian cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar met Brian Lara. However, this time they were not playing cricket, a special report in the Deccan Chronicle, says.
“Casually bumped into another key golfer today,” posted Sachin on his timeline.

The duo was honoured at the Sydney Cricket ground together. The SCG even named a gate after the two cricketers to honour their contribution to the game. The gate was opened to mark Sachin’s 50th birthday, which coincided with 30 years of Lara’s innings at the SCG.
To put things in perspective, the West Indies cricketer scored a massive 277 at the ground in 1993, which happened to be his 5th Test match.
On the other hand, Sachin scored 157 in five tests he played at SCG.
