In a groundbreaking initiative, the Embassy of India in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, organized a one-of-a-kind event named “Samskritotsava” on November 5, as part of the “Pravasi Parichay.” This event was conducted entirely in the Sanskrit language and served as a tribute to the Indian community’s tireless efforts in preserving this ancient language within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Samskritotsava, a Sanskrit Day celebration, was a remarkable event that marked the first instance of an Indian diplomatic mission hosting an event conducted entirely in Sanskrit. The primary aim of this initiative was to promote the significance of Sanskrit and foster its learning among a wider audience.
