Cricket legend’s daughter to headline ‘Come and Say G’Day’ campaign targeting Indian youth
Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter, Sara Tendulkar, is stepping into a new kind of global spotlight — as a brand ambassador for Australia’s international tourism campaign, Come and Say G’Day. With her rising popularity on social media and polished public persona, Sara is among the high-profile faces selected to front the campaign, joining the likes of Robert Irwin, Nigella Lawson, Yosh Yu, and Abareru-kun, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
As part of the campaign, Sara will appear across various platforms — including television commercials, digital content, and social media — encouraging Indian travellers to experience Australia’s unique fusion of adventure, culture, and scenic beauty.
A medical graduate, Sara Tendulkar has amassed a significant following online, admired for her charm, intellect, and relatability. Her participation in this campaign aims to forge a stronger cultural and travel connection between Australia and India, with young Indian explorers seen as a key target demographic.

A $130 million push to fuel global arrivals
Tourism Australia’s new two-year marketing initiative comes with a substantial $130 million investment from the Australian Government. This builds on the $255 million already committed since 2022 to the Come and Say G’Day initiative. Officials say every dollar spent generates a $14 return, contributing to an industry that sustains over 700,000 jobs and supports 360,000 businesses nationwide.
Australia’s Trade and Tourism Minister Don Farrell said the refreshed campaign — fronted by personalities like Robert Irwin and now Sara Tendulkar — aims to reignite global interest in holidaying Down Under. “Tourism is the lifeblood of so many communities,” he said, “and this campaign is helping drive visitors and grow our economy.”
Assistant Minister for Tourism Nita Green added, “This next chapter is energetic, funny and heart-warming, showcasing iconic destinations and unforgettable moments that only Australia offers.”
