MUSCAT: Sur Industrial City, affiliated to the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn”, has signed two investment contracts to establish glass and perfume manufacturing projects in the industrial city.
The first contract was signed with United Energy Company to set up glass manufacturing project on an area of 20,000 sqm and a total investment value touching RO 800,000.
The second investment contract was signed with Al Muasira United Trading and Contracting Company to establish perfume manufacturing project covering 20,000 sqm area at an investment of RO 1.5 million.
This project will be implemented and operated adopting French methods and expertise. The two new projects in Sur Industrial City aim at adding value to the industrial city while also generating job opportunities for the nationals.
Madayn to establish $41.5m township in Sur Industrial City
According to another report, The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) in Oman, represented by Sur Industrial City, has signed a land development agreement with Bisham Real Estate Company to establish an integrated workforce township in Sur Industrial City at a value reaching $41.5m (OMR16m).
The project, which will be developed on an area exceeding 180,000m2, will be divided into three categories, each with its distinctive standards and specifications. In addition, it will include a variety of accommodation options and it will also comprise other services such as gyms and a shopping centre, a report by Oman News Agency stated.
