Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur, stressed the need for promoting unexplored destinations by improving their basic infrastructure. Presiding over a meeting of the tourism department, he emphasised the need to do aggressive publicity outside the state, by putting up hoardings in prominent cities.

Jyoti Mayal, President, TAAI, supported the Chief Minister. She said that Himachal was one of the favourite tourist spots, be it for foreigners or Indians. “It’s time we should consider exploring the unexplored, and give such offbeat destinations a chance to attract tourists. India has a huge potential to cater to the taste of different tourists that too at the same time, hence developing a chance of good business and huge profits,” Mayal said.
