A Telugu couple from Rajahmundry were allegedly killed by their teenage son in Riyadh on Thursday, in a deeply shocking incident that has left the Indian community in grief. The 17-year-old boy, who was studying in Class 12, later died by suicide, according to sources.
The victims have been identified as Gali Ravi and Sridevi, who had been living in Saudi Arabia for several years. The family resided in the Hara area of the capital city and were known among members of the Andhra community. Ravi worked as a software engineer, while Sridevi was employed as a teacher at an Indian school in Riyadh.
