The deceased, Yalla John David, hailed from Kalla Mandal in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh.
David had been working as a laborer with an influential Qatari family in Qatar, where his duties included cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Over the past few months, he had been traveling frequently to Lebanon with his employer and had been residing there at the time of the incident.
According to family sources, the mishap occurred last week while David was cleaning household items, including a firearm. Preliminary information shared with the family and relayed to Indian embassies in Qatar and Lebanon indicates that the gun discharged accidentally.
