Shaikh Mohammed Akbar, 60, dies in Saudi Arabia, just before Eid celebrations
Shaikh Mohammed Akbar, a Telugu NRI who was working as a driver in Abha city, Saudi Arabia, tragically passed away while waiting to celebrate Eid with his family in India. The 60-year-old collapsed and died on February 19 while being shifted to a hospital. His body was repatriated to India on Thursday, just in time for his family to receive it before the festival, reported telanganatoday.com.
Tragic Loss as Family Waits for Eid Reunion
A native of Chandragiri in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh, Akbar had been eagerly planning to reunite with his loved ones during Ramzan, his brother Sattar shared.
In a show of support, Ibrahim Pattambi, a noted social worker, assisted the family in completing the legal formalities for repatriating the body
Other NRI Tragedy Linked to Akbar’s Death
At the same time, another NRI tragedy was reported. Jalagam Ashok, an NRI from Koheda Mandal in Siddipet district, Telangana, also passed away on February 8 in a remote part of Saudi Arabia. His body was repatriated to India on Thursday as well, according to Pattambi.
