UFC Abu Dhabi, held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Etihad Arena, ended on a tense note as three fighters were transported to a local hospital following their respective matches. The medical evacuations, confirmed by MMAmania.com, were carried out as a precautionary measure, sparking widespread concern among fans and media, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

UFC Abu Dhabi sees post-fight hospital visits for three athletes following heavy damage inside the Octagon.

Mohammad Yahya, who faced Steven Nguyen in a featherweight clash, suffered six knockdowns — a new UFC record — before the referee stopped the fight. He was immediately taken to the hospital for a CT scan of his face and head. Fortunately, no facial fractures were found and the scan returned clear results.

Amanda Ribas, competing in the strawweight division against Tabatha Ricci, endured a hard elbow to her eye socket, causing a fall and prompting an urgent post-fight X-ray. Later on Instagram, Ribas confirmed she would require facial surgery. This defeat marks her third consecutive loss in the UFC.

Shara “Bullet” Magomedov battled Marc-André Barriault in what turned into a bloody and aggressive fight, earning the Fight of the Night bonus. Though Magomedov won by unanimous decision, he was taken for head and facial CT scans and had a broken nose reset at the hospital. Scan results are still pending.

Despite the severity of the injuries, UFC officials and team members moved quickly to ensure fighters received immediate medical evaluation, aligning with the UFC’s safety-first protocol. Fans await further updates on the fighters’ conditions from official sources.
