UAE ban extended till August 1, Canada till August 21
The ban on flights from India to UAE (United Arab Emirate), which was to end on July 21, has been extended till August 1.
According to media sources in Dubai, the flight from India Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South Africa and Nigeria have been banned till August 1.
The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) first imposed ban on flights from India on April 24 soon after massive spread of Covid-19 in the second wave.
Canada is planning to open its borders for fully vaccinated people from September 7.
Meanwhile, Canada’s ban on Indian flights which was also set to end on July 21, has been extended till August 21. Canada had first imposed ban on flights from India on April 22. This Canada’s fourth ban extension on flights from India.
Canada is planning to open its borders for fully vaccinated people from September 7. In a statement the Canadian Government said, “The government intends to open Canada’s borders to fully vaccinated travellers who have completed the full course of vaccination with a Government of Canada-accepted vaccine at least 14 days prior to entering Canada and who meet specific entry requirements,” said one statement from the Canadian government.
For citizens, who are fully vaccinated, the government has decided to allow them to come to Canada from August 9.
