Pelican Valley IT Park aims to create a world-class innovation and employment hub in southern Andhra Pradesh
In a major push to boost the tech ecosystem in southern Andhra Pradesh, a group of US-based IT professionals and financial experts has announced plans to develop an integrated IT park near Tirupati. The project, named Pelican Valley IT Park, is envisioned as a transformative private initiative to turn barren land into a thriving innovation and employment hub, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
Located at Vedurupattu Crossroad between Sullurupeta and Naidupeta along the Chennai–Kolkata National Highway (NH-16), Pelican Valley promises unmatched connectivity to major cities such as Chennai, Bengaluru, and Tirupati. Its proximity to IIT-Madras, IIT-Tirupati, ISRO Sriharikota, and Sri City SEZ makes it an ideal location for a world-class IT and innovation hub.
Project promoter Vani Kunisetty said the initiative aims to bridge the gap between industry demand and the untapped potential of skilled local graduates. “With affordable housing and less congestion, Pelican Valley will offer professionals a better quality of life without compromising on career opportunities,” she added.
The NRI consortium has acquired 20 acres of land and secured approvals from the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) for the project’s first phase
Pelican Valley IT Park will serve as a sustainable employment generator for young professionals in the region while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
Backed by a consortium of NRI investors, the project will focus on creating sustainable, high-paying jobs and a balanced work-life environment. The 20-acre site has been zoned by TUDA for vertical IT infrastructure, allowing the development of high-density office spaces and commercial complexes designed for scalable expansion.
Project Managing Director MV Rao highlighted that despite India’s booming IT industry, many graduates remain underemployed. “Pelican Valley plans to bridge this gap through customised, project-based training that focuses on real-world skills,” he explained. Partner companies will conduct on-campus recruitment drives, connecting education, training, and employment under one roof.
Beyond job creation, Pelican Valley aims to become a centre of technological innovation with incubation hubs for startups, R&D facilities, and collaboration spaces for IT firms. The park will also partner with IITs, universities, and corporations to promote research, internships, and collaborative innovation.
