The registration process for the H-1B visa for FY 2026 begins, with new changes and fees for applicants.
The US H-1B visa registration process for the fiscal year 2026 officially opened on March 7, 2025, and will run until March 24, 2025. During this period, prospective petitioners and their representatives must use a USCIS online account to electronically register each beneficiary and pay the registration fee for each submission, reported gujaratsamachar.com.
The registration fee has increased, and the beneficiary-centric selection process will be used.
The FY 2026 H-1B cap will also adopt the beneficiary-centric selection process, which was first introduced in FY 2025. Under this system, the selection will be made based on unique beneficiaries, rather than by registration.
If USCIS receives enough registrations for unique beneficiaries by the March 24 deadline, they will randomly select beneficiaries and notify them through their USCIS online accounts.
