A meditation camp organized by Vihangam Yog in Muscat (Oman), evoked good response from yoga enthusiasts and others who were concerned about their physical and mental fitness.

Over 60 people attended the camp at a farmhouse in Muscat. For many attendees, it was their first step on a spiritual journey — one that promised inner peace, clarity, and a deeper connection to self.

“The event wasn’t just about sitting in silence; it offered participants a chance to learn the ancient science of consciousness through the practice of Vihangam Yog — a meditation method passed down by Sadguru Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj from India. This technique teaches seekers how to rise above daily distractions and connect with something higher and eternal,” said Dilip Kumar, a participant and member of the event organizing team.

A key part of the event was focus on the first stage of Vihangam meditation. Participants learned to observe the flickering nature of the mind and experience moments of calm and clarity, helping them understand how to manage thoughts and emotions better.

Many described the experience as life-changing — a powerful introduction to living more consciously and joyfully. As interest in meditation and mindfulness continues to grow in Oman, events like this are proving that ancient wisdom still has a meaningful place in the modern world

The keynote speaker, Subhash Chandra from Singapore, shared heartfelt insights. Having been connected with Vihangam Yog since childhood, he spoke passionately about how these age-old teachings are more relevant than ever for people facing the pressures of modern life.

Special guests at the ‘meditation retreat’ were, Kiran Kumar, Consultant at Mineral Development Oman’s Ash Shuwaymiyah Project; and Acharya Manoranjan, Yoga Teacher at the Indian Embassy in Muscat. Both expressed appreciation for the initiative and spoke about the importance of nurturing spiritual well-being in today’s fast-paced world.

Organised by the Vihangam Yog Oman team led by Dilip Kumar and Likesh Nayak — the retreat ended with a Sacred Yajna (a spiritual fire ritual) followed by Satvik food, leaving participants with a deep sense of peace and purpose.
